This page explains what data AnimeCal uses, why it is needed and what your rights are.

Data controller
AnimeCal is responsible for the processing described on this page. For any question or request about your data: connexion@animecal.com.
Data processed
- Account: username, email address, password stored only as a secure hash, and technical account dates.
- Service use: anime library, progress, private notes, favorites, game scores, badges and preferences.
- Social features: public profile chosen by the user, friendships and sent messages.
- Security: sign-in sessions and technical information needed to limit abuse.
Purposes and legal bases
This data is used to provide the requested account and features, save progress, enable exchanges between members and secure the service. Processing is based on providing the requested service and, for security, on the legitimate interest in protecting AnimeCal and its users.
Recipients and external services
Account data is not sold. It is accessible only to the publisher and technical providers needed for hosting or verification emails. Anime data comes notably from AniList and MyAnimeList; requests are made by the server without sending the member’s identity.
Retention period
Account data is kept while the account remains active. Sessions expire no later than the duration configured by the service. A deletion request can be sent to the contact address above.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
